GEO for SaaS: get demo requests from ChatGPT

Written by Tom Fry. Reviewed by Claire Williamson. Updated . Prices checked .

GEO for a SaaS company means getting your product named when a buyer asks an assistant for software in your category, so the demo request comes to you. GEOSearch does this with one page and up to 50 prompts, and our GEO agency comparison sets us beside 17 other firms.

Quick answer

Start with one page on the prompts buyers ask about your category. Budget $495 for the first month at GEOSearch, then $195 a month, from £350 a month for a managed retainer at Scalux, or from $5,000 a month for SEO and GEO together at DerivateX.

Results in two weeks. The two weeks start the day your new page goes live.

Before the clock

  1. Day 0You order, get your GEO Consultant and approve up to 50 prompts.
  2. Day 1Baseline run across six assistants.
  3. Day 5Your GEO Consultant delivers your page and the build notes.

If you publish the page that week, the results run lands about three weeks after you order.

The two weeks

  1. LiveYou publish the page. The clock starts.
  2. Within daysChatGPT and Perplexity usually find a new page first.
  3. About a weekGrok follows.
  4. Live + 14 daysThe results run: baseline against now, per assistant and per prompt.

Gemini, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews read Google, so they move once the page ranks there. That can take longer than two weeks, and the report will show it.

How do I get my B2B SaaS company recommended by ChatGPT when only the market leaders get named?

Publish one comparison page in your buyer's words, then get named on the lists ChatGPT already reads. ChatGPT can only name what its search returns. Across 34,960 observations, brands were named in 2.8% of GPT answers when neither their domain nor a branded follow-up appeared in the retrieval path. When their own domain was cited, the figure was 49% (Tannenbaum, 2026). That study is observational, so read it as direction. A 40-person company rarely has time for more than one page. So GEOSearch writes the one page that answers your 50 prompts, and your team publishes it.

How do SaaS companies get leads from ChatGPT, and how much pipeline can it become?

They get named first, and the leads come from the answer. Nobody can tell you the share in advance. Orbit Media's study of 97 sites put AI at 0.5% of traffic, with ChatGPT visitors turning into leads at 2.1% against 0.5% for Google Search. DerivateX reports that Gumlet turned ChatGPT mentions into 20% of its inbound revenue, which is a firm's own figure about its own client. Resonance, a PR agency, got three organic inbound leads from AI within three weeks. Treat these as what is possible, and count your own enquiries from day one.

Our SaaS gets no demo requests from ChatGPT, although we rank well on Google and G2. What's missing?

Usually a page of your own in the buyer's words. Put your G2 score on it as text with a link, so an assistant can repeat it. Buyers use both channels: review sites influenced 38% of shortlists and AI chatbots 37% in G2's 2026 Buyer Behavior Report, which surveyed 1,038 decision-makers. A G2 profile helps once a buyer has your name. A page in the buyer's words is what puts your name in the answer. GEOSearch writes that page, and any firm in our comparison with page work can too.

How does a SaaS company get into the ChatGPT answer when buyers ask for the best software in its category?

You can publish one of those lists yourself, and position on a list carries into the answer. Comparison pages earned 1.87 citations per retrieval in DeltaV's study of 25,337 citations, against an average of 1.29. In the UK B2B tech PR index, a competitor's list appeared in week 3 and drew 95 answers that week. By week 5, the top six agencies were exactly those on it. So a GEOSearch page for a SaaS company is usually a ranked comparison of your category, with your place disclosed. We also list the third-party roundups the assistants cite, so you can pitch for a place on them.

Which agencies help SaaS companies rank in Google AI Mode and AI Overviews for product comparisons?

AI Mode and AI Overviews read the Google index, so your page has to rank in Google first, and that can take longer than two weeks. Be wary of anyone promising otherwise. GEOSearch measures both and reports them separately, since they cite almost entirely different URLs. Only 13.7% overlap, and 59% of AI Overviews name no brand at all (Ahrefs, 730,000 response pairs). If Google is your only target, a firm with SEO in the retainer, such as DerivateX or Gripped, may suit you better than we do.

Best GEO agency for B2B SaaS for ranking in ChatGPT and getting more demo requests

It depends on your budget and on whether you also want SEO. For one page and a measured result, GEOSearch costs $495 for the first month, then $195 a month. For SEO and GEO on a retainer, DerivateX starts at $5,000 a month and Gripped at £3,500. In our 1 November run, these prompts most often named Omniscient Digital and DerivateX. Ask each firm for the demo requests it can attribute, as well as its mentions.

Best AEO agency for B2B SaaS for ranking in LLMs and getting sales enquiries

AEO and GEO describe the same work, so judge AEO agencies by the same tests. Team 4 in London says it works only with B2B SaaS companies and targets “prompts that drive pipeline”. Whoever you talk to, ask which prompts they would run, what their baseline shows, and who writes the pages.

Best GEO firm for a SaaS startup that needs leads from ChatGPT but can't afford a £5,000-a-month retainer

Buy one page and measure it. GEOSearch charges £395 ex VAT for the first month, then £155 a month. Scalux starts at £350 a month for tracking, and adds two content drafts a month at £1,050. NeuralAdX starts at £450 + VAT a month. A startup that can publish a page this week gets its results run about three weeks after ordering.

ChatGPT names our competitors when buyers compare software, and we lose deals before sales hears about them. Who can fix that?

Read the pages ChatGPT names them from, then publish your own. GEOSearch writes a side-by-side section for the competitor buyers ask about, with one verdict per situation. Our ranking leaves those prompts unscored, because a prompt that names a competitor mostly measures that competitor's fame. To see the effect, ask ChatGPT yourself before and after the page goes live. Scalux and Omnius sell content as part of a monthly retainer, so ask them how they handle these prompts.

Which GEO agencies understand how AI assistants choose which SaaS vendors to name?

Ask any agency to explain these four findings. They are what we build on.

  • Retrieval comes first. Most low-ranking brands were never retrieved, so better wording alone will not help them.
  • A brand counts only when named in the text. ChatGPT once cited Resonance's page in 18 answers and named Resonance in 6.
  • Each assistant reads differently. Grok cited 7 to 11 sources an answer in our late-October runs, and AI Mode 2 to 3.
  • Answers repeat published prices. URLs about pricing took 19.4% of citations on cost prompts across 1.6 million citations in our data.

Who can run GEO for a SaaS company with a small marketing team and no in-house SEO?

GEOSearch is built for that team. You give us the site and the topic, approve the prompts, and pass our build notes to whoever edits your website. Your GEO Consultant does the rest and answers your questions by email. There is no content calendar to feed. The one thing you must have is someone who can publish a page, because the two weeks start on the day it goes live.

How do we get ChatGPT to quote our pricing and features correctly, and who can help?

Publish every price band as plain text in the first HTML response, then correct the third-party listings. In Growth Unhinged's test of 7,675 responses on Cloud 100 companies, a company with no pricing page drew a quoted range of $100 to $2,400 per user a month. Ten of 77 public pricing pages hid at least 40% of their text from bots. Across our own data, 90% of pricing citations on cost prompts go to third-party sites. GEOSearch's build notes cover your pricing page, and you can read more in our note on cost prompts.

Which agencies help a vertical SaaS, such as software for dental practices, get recommended by AI assistants?

Name the vertical in your title, your H1 and your first sentence, because retrieval matches the buyer's noun. “Dental practice management software” beats “patient engagement platform”. Resonance saw this directly. A category page using the noun buyers type was picked up within days and cited in 203 answers by week 2. The site had previously called itself a “strategic communications consultancy”, which nobody types. GEOSearch writes vertical pages at the same $495.

Generative engine optimisation agency for B2B SaaS: who does the work, and what does it cost?

At GEOSearch, software drafts the page, a GEO Consultant edits it, and your team publishes it. The first month costs $495 (£395 ex VAT), then $195 (£155 ex VAT) a month, so three months cost $885 (£705 ex VAT). The B2B SaaS median elsewhere is $8,640 a month, according to First Page Sage. Every band and the VAT position are on our pricing page.

Questions buyers ask

How many prompts does a SaaS company need?

Thirty to 50 is enough for one category. Fewer than 30 makes the range around your rank wide, because each prompt carries more of the result. Beyond 50, the prompts usually belong to a second topic with its own page. A GEOSearch order covers up to 50.

Will a GEO page hurt our SEO?

We have seen no reason it should, provided the page is original and useful to a buyer. A comparison page in the words your buyers use is also a page Google can rank, and Gemini, AI Mode and AI Overviews read from Google. Doorway pages and thin variants do carry risk, and we do not write those.

What do you need from us?

Your site, your topic, an approved list of prompts, and someone who can publish a page. We also ask for facts we cannot find on your site, such as a price or a customer you can name. A missing fact is a question for you, and we never guess one.

We already pay for a tracking tool. Is this a duplicate?

Only partly. Your tool shows where you stand, and it can act as a check on our numbers. GEOSearch writes the page that moves the number. If your tool already covers these prompts, you could cancel after the first month and use it for the weekly view.
