What our other runs show before the first week
We already run two other panels, and they show why this index is worth having. Asked which UK PR agencies help B2B technology brands appear in AI search, the assistants named only PR agencies across seven weeks. No GEO specialist appeared. Asked about tools, they named tools. Nobody owns the middle yet: who does the work.

The method
The index uses the method behind the UK B2B Tech PR AI Visibility Index and the PR software AI index, both of which are public.
- Prompts. 68 scored prompts, unbranded, in the words of seven buyer types, run in UK English. 1 name the UK.
- Wording. Each assistant is asked about itself, so ChatGPT is asked about ChatGPT and Gemini about Gemini. AI Overviews is a Google search, so it says ChatGPT, the name people type into Google.
- Assistants and weights. ChatGPT 4, Gemini 2, Google AI Mode 1, Google AI Overviews 1, Perplexity 0.5, Grok 0.5. We publish the equal-weight rank beside the headline.
- Share of mentions. Each brand's share of all namings per assistant, combined by weight.
- Interval. 90%, from recalculating the numbers 1,000 times on different mixes of the prompts.
- Exclusions. Label-only mentions and source chips do not count. Three check questions are not scored. A failed assistant run is left out rather than scored as zero.
- Earned rank. The same ranking without answers that read a brand's own site.
- Who ranks. Every brand named, except platforms, publications, prospecting tools and clients named in case studies. GEO tools and PR agencies stay in, because a buyer could choose one instead.
